The Yaesu FR-101 Digital (model designation on the unit: "FR-101D") is the later version of the FR-101 receiver, adding a digital frequency counter (Nixie or LED display with 100 Hz resolution) alongside the analogue dial. Otherwise it is technically identical to the FR-101: general-coverage reception from 1.8-30 MHz across 21 sub-ranges, optionally extendable with 6m and 2m converters. The exact year the digital variant was introduced within the FR-101 production run (1974-1978) is not precisely documented in the sources.
