The Yaesu FRG-7 is one of the best-known and best-selling shortwave receivers of the 1970s, manufactured from 1976 to 1980. It covers 0.5-29.9 MHz continuously across four bands and uses the characteristic "Wadley Loop" triple-conversion receiver design for high frequency stability without complex digital synthesis. It can also run on batteries (8x R20/D cells) for use away from mains power.
