Description

The Icom IC-490A is an all-mode amateur radio mobile transceiver for the 70 cm band (430-440 MHz), introduced in the early 1980s. It supports FM, SSB and CW with a maximum output power of 10 watts, plus a switchable low-power setting of 1 watt. With a double/triple conversion superheterodyne receiver, five memory channels and adjustable repeater offset, it suits both repeater and simplex operation.
