The Icom IC-12E is a compact amateur radio handheld transceiver for the 23 cm band (1260-1300 MHz), manufactured in Japan starting in 1987. It operates exclusively in FM mode and delivers up to 1 watt of RF power with the supplied BP-3 battery pack. A double conversion superheterodyne receiver along with RIT and VOX functions make it well suited for mobile UHF amateur radio use.
