Description

The Trio 9R-59DE is an evolved variant of the classic 9R-59 tube receiver, aimed primarily at the export market. The single-conversion superhet with a 455 kHz IF covers 0.55 to 30 MHz in four bands and, in addition to AM and CW, now also receives SSB (single sideband). This made it better suited to the increasingly common SSB mode on the ham bands than the original model.
