The Kenwood TR-3200 is the UHF counterpart to the legendary 2m TR-2200 handheld and actually dates back to the 1970s -- making it notably older than the other TR models in this catalog expansion. It is a large, case-like 70cm handheld using crystal-controlled channel synthesis rather than a fully synthesized oscillator. Powered by ten AA NiCd cells, it weighs around 1.6 kg and delivers up to 2 watts of output on the 70cm band. Despite its age, it marks an important milestone as one of Kenwood/Trio's earliest UHF amateur handhelds.
