Description

The Kenwood TS-820 is a hybrid HF transceiver from 1976 that pairs solid-state driver stages with a tube-based final amplifier (dual tetrode). It covers the classic shortwave bands from 160 through 10 meters and supports SSB and CW. Notable features include its analog frequency dial, optional external VFO unit, and rugged build quality, which keep the TS-820 popular among collectors today. It is regarded as the direct successor to the TS-520.
