The Yaesu VR-160 is a micro handheld scanner that, from 2010 onward, offered 0.1-1300 MHz coverage in AM, FM and WFM as a later addition to the VR series. It uses a modern lithium-ion battery (FNB-82Li), offers 900 memory channels plus extras such as a band scope, password protection and a CW training mode. At just 130 grams, it ranks among the smallest wideband scanners Yaesu ever made.
