The Trio/Kenwood T-599 is a hybrid (tube/transistor) HF transmitter covering 80 through 10 metres in SSB, AM and CW. As the transmit half of the celebrated "599 Twins", it matches the R-599 receiver and, joined by an interconnect cable, forms a full transceive station. Its final delivers roughly 100 W of RF output (about 200 W PEP DC input) using a 12BY7A driver and a pair of 6146B final tubes.
