Description

The Kenwood/Trio R-599S is an early-1970s amateur-band receiver that, together with the T-599 transmitter, forms the classic "599 twins". It covers the 160- through 10-metre ham bands in AM, FM, SSB and CW and can be extended with optional converters for the 6-m and 2-m bands. Its fully solid-state design and dual mains/13.8 V DC operation made it a popular station receiver.
