Description

The Kenwood T-599D (1975–1979) is the final and best-known evolution of the "599 Twins" and the transmit companion to the R-599D receiver. It transmits SSB, AM and CW on 80 to 10 metres with about 100 W of RF output from a pair of 6146B final tubes. Compared with earlier models it received a restyled front panel in bronze-and-black instead of silver. Paired with the R-599D it forms a complete transceive station.
