The Radtel RT12 is a simple, license-free PMR446 handheld with 16 channels aimed at hotels, restaurants, and construction sites as well as casual outdoor users, rated for 0.5W (CE-RED certified) in Europe. In the US, Radtel sells the same hardware as a higher-power FRS variant (2W) -- that US version is not approved for use in Germany. It stands out for menu-free operation and a large LED status bar showing TX/RX state.
