Description

The RT-1000Pro is a multi-band handheld that combines a CB-adjacent 26-30 MHz AM/FM band, a factory-locked aviation band, and conventional VHF/UHF FM ham bands in one radio, plus a longwave/mediumwave/shortwave receiver with USB/LSB. With 1024 channels, a color display, GPS/APRS, and a built-in spectrum display, it targets users who want several radio worlds combined in a single device. Radtel itself describes the AM aviation-band transmit function explicitly as a hobbyist/testing auxiliary feature, not certified aviation or professional CB equipment.

Highlights

Aviation-band transmit (108-136 MHz) is password-locked from the factory: unlocking requires emailing Radtel with the order number, a photo of a valid pilot/aviation license, and the radio's AIR ID -- an important legal/regulatory restrictionCombines a CB-adjacent 26-30 MHz band, aviation-band reception/transmission, and VHF/UHF FM ham bands, plus LW/MW/SW receive with USB/LSB1024 memory channels plus 3 VFO channels, color display, frequency and spectrum scanningGPS/APRS support, dual-watch/cross-band repeater function, real-time field-strength meterThe manufacturer itself frames the AM transmit function as a hobbyist/testing auxiliary feature, not comparable to certified CB or dedicated aviation radiosPower spec inconsistent: product page states VHF 8W/UHF 7W separately, while the official manual gives "≤8W" as one combined figure
