The Kenwood TM-431E was introduced in 1989 as the UHF counterpart to the 2m TM-231E. With three power levels (35/10/5 watts), 20 memory channels, a call channel, and four odd-split configurations, it offered considerably more functionality than its predecessors. It is among the last classic TM-4xx models before Kenwood moved to more digital control concepts.
