The Kenwood TM-411E was released in 1984 as the direct successor to the TM-401 and UHF counterpart to the TM-211. It increased output power to up to 25 watts and offered three regular plus two split memory channels for more flexible repeater operation. Its rugged metal housing and tiltable control head made it a popular mobile transceiver for the 70cm amateur band.
