The Icom IC-P7A is a compact VHF/UHF amateur radio handheld transceiver covering the 2 m and 70 cm bands, introduced around 2005. It transmits in FM and offers an extremely wide receive range with AM, FM and WFM reception plus 1000 memory channels with alphanumeric tagging. Its dual-conversion superheterodyne receiver, CTCSS/DTCS tone functions and adjustable attenuator make it suitable both for amateur radio use and broad-spectrum scanning.
