Description

The Icom IC-PCR100 is a purely PC-controlled wideband receiver in a compact black-box housing with no control panel of its own, operated entirely through the bundled Windows software. It covers a continuous 0.01 to 1300 MHz in AM, FM (narrow) and WFM (wide) modes, making it suitable for broadcast, air band, marine and many other services. It connects to the computer via an RS-232C serial interface, with received audio played through the PC sound card. The PCR100 is the stripped-down variant of the IC-PCR1000, dropping that model's SSB/CW reception and DSP option. Its feature set includes 1000 memory channels, a (non-real-time) band scope, squelch, noise blanker and several search/scan modes.
