The Icom IC-225 is an early 1970s 2 m FM mobile transceiver featuring PLL frequency synthesis. It uses a double-conversion superheterodyne receiver and provides a fixed -600 kHz repeater offset for amateur repeater operation. Modulation is achieved via a variable reactance phase modulation system.
