The Kenwood TS-780, introduced in 1982, is the direct successor to the TS-770 and offers FM, SSB, and CW on both 2m and 70cm from a compact all-mode base station. With separate antenna connectors, 10 battery-backed memory channels, and improved receiver sensitivity over its predecessor, it targets serious dual-band VHF/UHF operators.
