The Kenwood TS-515S from 1972 is the final stage of the early tube transceiver lineage, matching the TS-511S's power rating of up to 250 watts PEP on SSB. Its final amplifier uses two 6LQ6 tubes, the receiver is a double-conversion superheterodyne design, and like its predecessors it covers the 80 through 10 meter bands in SSB and CW only. The TS-515S closes out the TS-510 family before Kenwood moved to more modern hybrid technology with the TS-520 series.
