Description

The Kenwood TM-V708A is a 2m/70cm dual-band mobile transceiver that Kenwood offered from around 2002, primarily for the Japanese and Asian markets. Technically it is closely related to the TM-D700A but omits that model's built-in TNC and APRS functionality. It offers dual receive, cross-band repeater operation, and 200 memory channels with 8-character alphanumeric tagging. The TM-V708A is considered a direct predecessor to the later, globally distributed TM-V71A/E.
