The Kenwood TH-25E, introduced in 1987, is the direct successor to the TH-21 within the compact 2m Pocket series, offering significantly more output power at 2.5-5 W. It features 14 memory channels, ±600 kHz repeater shift, a 1750 Hz tone-burst call function, and a backlit display. The double-conversion superheterodyne receiver achieves a sensitivity of 0.16 µV (12 dB SINAD). At 400 g (including the battery pack), it is somewhat heavier and larger than the TH-21, but offers considerably more operating comfort in return.
