The Icom IC-u4A is a compact handheld transceiver for the 70 cm amateur radio band, produced from 1987 to 1989. It operates exclusively in FM mode with up to 1 watt of output power and its small size makes it especially suited for portable use. A double-conversion superheterodyne receiver with high sensitivity plus 10 memory channels with programmable repeater offset complete the feature set.
