The Icom IC-720A is an analog HF amateur radio transceiver for base station use from the early 1980s. It covers the bands from 160 m to 10 m including the WARC bands and uses a quadruple-conversion superheterodyne design with adjustable selectivity. Equipped with PBT, VOX, noise blanker, a 10 dB attenuator and a built-in SWR meter, it could be expanded with optional narrow CW/AM filters as well as external linear amplifiers and microphones.
