The Icom IC-2A is a portable FM handheld transceiver for the 2 m amateur band, manufactured in Japan starting in 1980. It uses a double-conversion superheterodyne receiver with intermediate frequencies of 10.695 MHz and 455 kHz, and offers switchable RF output of 1.5 W (high) and 150 mW (low). A ±600 kHz repeater shift function makes it well suited for repeater operation.
