Description

The Icom IC-R71E is the European market version of the IC-R71 (produced 1984-1990). It receives 100 kHz to 30 MHz as a quadruple-conversion superheterodyne in AM, SSB, CW and RTTY, with FM optional. Like the other versions it offers 32 memory channels, direct frequency entry, passband tuning, notch filter and noise blanker plus an optional IR remote. The IC-R71E enjoys an excellent reputation in Europe as a sensitive and selective shortwave receiver for demanding DX work.
