The Trio TX-599 is an HF transmitter (SSB/AM/CW) for 80 to 10 metres and the transmit companion to the JR-599 receiver. It is the sister version — offered mainly on the Japanese market — of the well-known "599 Twins", sharing their compact cabinet and hybrid design. The final, with a 12BY7A driver and two S2001 / 6146 tubes, delivers roughly 50–100 W of RF output (AM about 25–50 W). The unit has a built-in power supply for 115/230 V.
