The Yaesu FT-655 is the Japanese domestic version of the 650 series for 12m, 10m, and 6m, technically very similar to the FT-650 but limited to 50 watts of output power. According to 1990 sales listings it succeeded the earlier FT-625D and offers AM/FM/SSB/CW.
