The Icom IC-Alpha 6 is a very compact Japanese amateur radio handheld transceiver for the 6-meter band (51-54 MHz), produced from 1989 into the 1990s. It operates exclusively in FM mode with very low transmit power (150 mW simplex, 50 mW duplex), making it suited for short-range communication. The unit features five memory channels, VOX capability, and repeater shift functionality.
